When you are young, wild, and free thinking about a senior living community for yourself or even for your parents seems lightyears away. But here you are! You may not even know what type of senior living is available. There may be more options available to you than you realize. Understanding what to expect from senior living, assisted living, or memory care living is an important part of planning your future.
This article will explore types of senior living options to help you better understand what is available to you. We will explain their similarities and differences so you can make the best choice for yourself or your loved ones. Aging in place can be a wonderful gift. So, let’s explore Victoria Landing and the opportunities it offers.
Types of Senior Living Options
At Victoria Landing, we offer different levels of care to meet the varying needs of our residents. Let’s take a look at our excellent options.
#1
Independent Living
Victoria Living offers luxury retirement living. If you are 62 years of age or older, you can become a resident here! We offer private apartment living allowing you to retain all your independence without the hassle of upkeep for a house and yard. Additionally, we offer amazing amenities and three delicious meals a day prepared by our very own on-site chef. Senior living isn’t what it used to be…welcome to resort-style retirement! Floridians love going on cruises, and Victoria Landing is similar to a cruise (minus the ship!). We offer food, activities, a heated pool, and much more!
#2 Assisted Living
If you require a little assistance for your daily living tasks, Victoria Landing is still the right place for you! You will enjoy the same apartment living as our Independent Living residents. We are licensed through the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA).
Through our standard and limited nursing licenses, we are able to provide our Assisted Living residents with the following personal care services:

Our Boardwalk residents enjoy private apartments. For safety reasons, they do not include kitchenettes like our other apartments. But who needs a kitchenette with an on-site chef?

What Victoria Landing Is Not
Now that we have explained the three levels of living offered at Victoria Landing, all with wonderful amenities, activities, food, and fun, we want to briefly discuss what Victoria Landing is not. Victoria Landing is not a nursing home or skilled care facility. Nursing homes are designed for people who need long-term, 24-hour medical care. In addition to 24-hour care, they may also provide a range of therapies for patients. Skilled nursing facilities provide short-term rehabilitation and medical treatment for patients. Victoria Landing is a retirement community that offers independent living, assisted living, and memory care living – a true aging-in-place community.
